Understanding GQS Issues

Issues Opening GQS Files

GrafEq Not Present

If you attempt to load your GQS file, you experience a message such as "Can't Open GQS Files". Usually, this is because you do not have GrafEq for - installed. You won't be able to double-click to open your GQS because your OS doesn't know what to do with it.

Tip: If you know of another program that can open your GQS file, you can try opening it by selecting the application from the programs listed.

GrafEq Requires Update

Sometimes your installed version of GrafEq won't support your GrafEq Data File file. Download the latest GrafEq version from the Pedagoguery Software Inc website to ensure you have the correct one installed. This problem is most common when you have an older version of the software application, and your file was created by a newer version that it cannot recognize.

Tip: Investigate your GQS file by right-clicking and selecting "Properties" to find clues on what version you need.

Regardless, most of the GQS file opening problems relate to not having the right version of GrafEq installed.

Associated Difficulties Loading GQS Files

Although you might already have GrafEq or another GQS-associated software installed on your computer, you can still encounter problems opening GrafEq Data File files.
