Troubleshoot HPI Files
Issues Opening HPI Files
HEMERA software Not Present
When you double-click your HPI file, you may see a dialog box from your operating system stating that it "Cannot Open This File Type". Generally, this is experienced in %%os%% because HEMERA software isn't installed on your PC. Your operating system cannot associate your HPI with HEMERA software, so double-clicking the file won't work.
Tip: Another HPI-related program can be selected to open the file by clicking "Show Apps" and finding the application.
Obsolete Version of HEMERA software
It is possible that your version of HEMERA software isn't able to open your Hemera Photo Objects Image File file due to incompatibility. Download the latest HEMERA software version from the Unknown Developer website to ensure you have the correct one installed. This issue mainly occurs when your Hemera Photo Objects Image File file was created by a newer version of HEMERA software than you have on your PC.
Tip: Right-clicking on your HPI, then clicking "Properties" (Windows) or "Get Info" (Mac), can provide clues about your file version.
Conclusion: The majority of HPI file opening issues are due to not having the correct HEMERA software version installed.
Other Causes of HPI File Opening Problems
In the majority of cases, installing the right version of HEMERA software will resolve your issue. Other HPI opening errors can be created by other system problems inside of %%os%%. Problems unrelated to software:
