Issues Opening HPS Files
Microsoft Notepad is Not Installed
Double-clicking your HPS file prompts the message "- Can't Open HPS File". If so, it typically means that you don't have Microsoft Notepad installed for - . The typical path of opening your HPS with a double-click won't work because - cannot make the program connection.
Tip: When you have another program installed that you know will open your HPS, you can select it from the other programs listed (see "Show Apps").
Microsoft Notepad Requires Update
In other instances, your HPL Script file version may not be supported by your version of Microsoft Notepad. Installing the latest version of Microsoft Notepad from Microsoft Corporation is recommended. This problem is most common when you have an older version of the software application, and your file was created by a newer version that it cannot recognize.
Tip: Sometimes you can get a clue about the version of HPS file you have by right clicking on the file, then clicking on "Properties" (Windows) or "Get Info" (Mac OSX).
