Troubleshooting Problems Opening PJP Files
Troubles Opening PJP Files
Adobe Illustrator CC Removed
Double-clicking your PJP file prompts the message "%%os%% Can't Open PJP File". Generally, this is experienced in %%os%% because Adobe Illustrator CC isn't installed on your PC. The OS won't know what to do with your PJP file, so double-clicking to load the file doesn't work.
Tip: If you know of another program that can open your PJP file, you can try opening it by selecting the application from the programs listed.
Obsolete Version of Adobe Illustrator CC
Your JPEG Image file is incompatible with Adobe Illustrator CC because you might have the wrong version installed. Visit the Adobe Systems Incorporated website to download (or purchase) the latest version of Adobe Illustrator CC. This problem is most common when you have an older version of the software application, and your file was created by a newer version that it cannot recognize.
Tip: You can sometimes get hints about the right program version by right-clicking on the PJP file, selecting "Properties", and looking at the version information.
Summary: Not having the right Adobe Illustrator CC version on your computer can cause problems opening PJP files.
More Causes of Problems Opening PJPs
Even with the correct version of Adobe Illustrator CC installed, you can still experience difficulties opening PJPs. If you're still experiencing problems opening PJP files, there could be other computer problems. These other problems include (listed in order from most to least common):
