YM Troubleshooting
Issues Opening YM Files
Nullsoft Winamp is Not Installed
When trying to open your YM file, you get the error "Can't Open YM File Type". If this is the case, it's usually due to the fact that you do not have Nullsoft Winamp for %%os%% installed on your computer. You won't be able to double-click to open your YM because your OS doesn't know what to do with it.
Tip: When another YM application is installed, you can choose to open it by selecting "Show Apps" and using that program.
Nullsoft Winamp Requires Update
Occasionally, you might have an outdated version of Nullsoft Winamp installed that's incompatible with your Atari ST Audio File type. If you've got the wrong version of Nullsoft Winamp installed, you'll need to install the correct version. Your Atari ST Audio File file was probably created by a newer release of Nullsoft Winamp than what's currently installed your computer.
Tip: Investigate your YM file by right-clicking and selecting "Properties" to find clues on what version you need.
Conclusion: The majority of YM file opening issues are due to not having the correct Nullsoft Winamp version installed.
