Common 50 Opening Problems

Pro/ENGINEER Disappeared

Double-clicking your 50 file prompts the message "%%os%% Can't Open 50 File". Generally, this is experienced in %%os%% because Pro/ENGINEER isn't installed on your PC. The OS won't know what to do with your 50 file, so double-clicking to load the file doesn't work.

Tip: When another 50 application is installed, you can choose to open it by selecting "Show Apps" and using that program.

Incorrect Pro/ENGINEER Version

Occasionally, you might have an outdated version of Pro/ENGINEER installed that's incompatible with your Creo Elements/Pro Versioned Data type. If you do not have the proper version Pro/ENGINEER (or any of the other programs listed above), you may need to try downloading a different version of it, or one of the other software applications listed above. Your Creo Elements/Pro Versioned Data file was probably created by a newer release of Pro/ENGINEER than what's currently installed your computer.
