T32 File Complications
Troubles Opening T32 Files
PowerQuest Drive Image Isn't There
You attempt to load your T32 file and get an error such as "%%os%% Can't Open The T32 File Extension". If this is the case, it's usually due to the fact that you do not have PowerQuest Drive Image for %%os%% installed on your computer. This will prevent you from double-clicking to open the T32 file because the OS doesn’t know how to handle it.
Tip: When you have another program installed that you know will open your T32, you can select it from the other programs listed (see "Show Apps").
Obsolete Version of PowerQuest Drive Image
In other instances, your Drive Image 5 File file version may not be supported by your version of PowerQuest Drive Image. Visit the Symantec Corporation website to download (or purchase) the latest version of PowerQuest Drive Image. Your Drive Image 5 File file was probably created by a newer release of PowerQuest Drive Image than what's currently installed your computer.
Tip: Right-clicking on your T32, then clicking "Properties" (Windows) or "Get Info" (Mac), can provide clues about your file version.
Ultimately, most of the difficulties opening T32 files are due to having the wrong version of PowerQuest Drive Image installed.
Associated Difficulties Loading T32 Files
Assuming you have the right PowerQuest Drive Image version installed, other problems can prevent you from opening T32 files. There can be other issues - unrelated to software - preventing you from opening T32 files. Issues that aren't software-related:
- File references in the Windows Registry for T32 are wrong
- The T32 file description within the Windows Registry was removed
- Partial installation of PowerQuest Drive Image that did not fully complete
- Your T32 file is corrupted (issues with your Drive Image 5 File file itself)
- Malware-tainted T32 file can't be opened
- Hardware related to T32s has device driver corruption
- Your PC doesn’t have enough available resources to open the Drive Image 5 File file
