WSE Troubleshooting
Troubles Opening WSE Files
Wise Package Studio Not Present
You attempt to load your WSE file and get an error such as "%%os%% Can't Open The WSE File Extension". Generally, this is experienced in %%os%% because Wise Package Studio isn't installed on your PC. You won't be able to double-click to open your WSE because your OS doesn't know what to do with it.
Tip: When another WSE application is installed, you can choose to open it by selecting "Show Apps" and using that program.
Wise Package Studio Requires Update
Your Wise File Format file is incompatible with Wise Package Studio because you might have the wrong version installed. If you do not have the proper version Wise Package Studio (or any of the other programs listed above), you may need to try downloading a different version of it, or one of the other software applications listed above. Your Wise File Format file was probably created by a newer release of Wise Package Studio than what's currently installed your computer.
Tip: Sometimes you can get a clue about the version of WSE file you have by right clicking on the file, then clicking on "Properties" (Windows) or "Get Info" (Mac OSX).
Summary: Not having the right Wise Package Studio version on your computer can cause problems opening WSE files.
