Troubles Opening ACSM Files

Adobe Creative Cloud Disappeared

Double-clicking your ACSM file prompts the message "%%os%% Can't Open ACSM File". Usually, this is because you do not have Adobe Creative Cloud for %%os%% installed. Because your operating system doesn't know what to do with this file, you won't be able to open it by double-clicking.


Tip: When you have another program installed that you know will open your ACSM, you can select it from the other programs listed (see "Show Apps").


Adobe Creative Cloud is Out-of-Date

It is possible that your version of Adobe Creative Cloud isn't able to open your Adobe Content Server Message File file due to incompatibility. You will need to download a newer version of Adobe Creative Cloud if you don't have the right version. This problem is most common when you have an older version of the software application, and your file was created by a newer version that it cannot recognize.


Tip: Sometimes you can get a clue about the version of ACSM file you have by right clicking on the file, then clicking on "Properties" (Windows) or "Get Info" (Mac OSX).
