Frequent ASND Opening Issues

Adobe Audition Disappeared

When trying to open your ASND file, you get the error "Can't Open ASND File Type". Usually, this is because you do not have Adobe Audition for %%os%% installed. You won't be able to double-click to open your ASND because your OS doesn't know what to do with it.

Tip: When you have another program installed that you know will open your ASND, you can select it from the other programs listed (see "Show Apps").

Obsolete Version of Adobe Audition

Occasionally, you might have an outdated version of Adobe Audition installed that's incompatible with your Adobe Sound Document type. You will need to download a newer version of Adobe Audition if you don't have the right version. This problem is predominately due to having a Adobe Sound Document file version that was created by a newer version of Adobe Audition than what you have installed on your PC.

Tip: Right-clicking on your ASND, then clicking "Properties" (Windows) or "Get Info" (Mac), can provide clues about your file version.
