Sources of AT2 Problems
Frequent AT2 Opening Issues
Aldus PhotoStyler is Not Installed
When you double-click your AT2 file, you may see a dialog box from your operating system stating that it "Cannot Open This File Type". When this happens, it is commonly due to Aldus PhotoStyler missing in %%os%%. This will prevent you from double-clicking to open the AT2 file because the OS doesn’t know how to handle it.
Tip: If you know of another program that can open your AT2 file, you can try opening it by selecting the application from the programs listed.
Outdated Aldus PhotoStyler
It is possible that your version of Aldus PhotoStyler isn't able to open your Adobe Persuasion Auto Template file due to incompatibility. Visit the Adobe Systems Incorporated website to download (or purchase) the latest version of Aldus PhotoStyler. Your Adobe Persuasion Auto Template file was probably created by a newer release of Aldus PhotoStyler than what's currently installed your computer.
Tip: If you right-click on your AT2 file, then select "Properties" (Windows) or "Get Info" (Mac), you can obtain hints about what version you need.
Primarily, problems experienced when opening AT2 files are due to having the incorrect version of Aldus PhotoStyler installed on your computer.
Other AT2 File Opening Causes
Errors opening Adobe Persuasion Auto Template files can still occur even with the latest Aldus PhotoStyler software installed on your computer. There can be external issues inside of %%os%% that are causing these errors when opening AT2s. Other contributing causes:
- Windows Registry AT2 file paths that are incorrect
- Accidental deletion of the description of the AT2 file in the Windows registry
- Invalid installation of a AT2-associated program (eg. Aldus PhotoStyler)
- Your AT2 file is corrupted (issues with your Adobe Persuasion Auto Template file itself)
- Your AT2 has adversely impacted by malware
- Device drivers for AT2-related hardware are out-of-date
- Your PC doesn’t have enough available resources to open the Adobe Persuasion Auto Template file
