Sources of BCT Problems
Typical BCT Opening Challenges
Adobe Bridge CC Not Present
Double-clicking your BCT file prompts the message "%%os%% Can't Open BCT File". Customarily, this means that Adobe Bridge CC is not installed on %%os%%. You won't be able to double-click to open your BCT because your OS doesn't know what to do with it.
Tip: If you have another software that you know opens BCT files, you can select it by hitting the "Show Apps" button.
Adobe Bridge CC Requires Update
In other instances, your Adobe Bridge Thumbnail Cache File file version may not be supported by your version of Adobe Bridge CC. If you do not have the proper version Adobe Bridge CC (or any of the other programs listed above), you may need to try downloading a different version of it, or one of the other software applications listed above. This issue mainly occurs when your Adobe Bridge Thumbnail Cache File file was created by a newer version of Adobe Bridge CC than you have on your PC.
Tip: If you right-click on your BCT file, then select "Properties" (Windows) or "Get Info" (Mac), you can obtain hints about what version you need.
Primarily, problems experienced when opening BCT files are due to having the incorrect version of Adobe Bridge CC installed on your computer.
Other BCT File Opening Causes
