Understanding DRX Issues
Troubles Opening DRX Files
Adobe Photoshop Isn't There
You encounter an error message such as "%%os%% Can't Open DRX Files" when trying to open your DRX. Generally, this is experienced in %%os%% because Adobe Photoshop isn't installed on your PC. The OS won't know what to do with your DRX file, so double-clicking to load the file doesn't work.
Tip: If you don't have Adobe Photoshop installed, and you know of another program to open your DRX file, you can try opening it by selecting from the programs listed under "Show Apps".
Obsolete Version of Adobe Photoshop
In some cases, you might have a newer (or older) version of a Adobe Photoshop Tutorial Data file that is unsupported by your installed application version. Download the latest Adobe Photoshop version from the Adobe Systems Incorporated website to ensure you have the correct one installed. This problem is predominately due to having a Adobe Photoshop Tutorial Data file version that was created by a newer version of Adobe Photoshop than what you have installed on your PC.
Tip: Investigate your DRX file by right-clicking and selecting "Properties" to find clues on what version you need.
Regardless, most of the DRX file opening problems relate to not having the right version of Adobe Photoshop installed.
