Understanding EPSI Issues

Issues Opening EPSI Files

Missing Adobe Photoshop

You encounter an error message such as "%%os%% Can't Open EPSI Files" when trying to open your EPSI. Generally, this is experienced in %%os%% because Adobe Photoshop isn't installed on your PC. This will prevent you from double-clicking to open the EPSI file because the OS doesn’t know how to handle it.

Tip: When you have another program installed that you know will open your EPSI, you can select it from the other programs listed (see "Show Apps").

Incorrect Adobe Photoshop Version

It is possible that your version of Adobe Photoshop isn't able to open your Adobe Encapsulated PostScript Interchange Format file due to incompatibility. Visit the Adobe Systems Incorporated website to download (or purchase) the latest version of Adobe Photoshop. Your Adobe Encapsulated PostScript Interchange Format file was probably created by a newer release of Adobe Photoshop than what's currently installed your computer.

Tip: Investigate your EPSI file by right-clicking and selecting "Properties" to find clues on what version you need.

Summary: Not having the right Adobe Photoshop version on your computer can cause problems opening EPSI files.
