Troubles Opening FLA Files
Adobe Animate CC 2017 Isn't There
You encounter an error message such as "%%os%% Can't Open FLA Files" when trying to open your FLA. When this happens, it is commonly due to Adobe Animate CC 2017 missing in %%os%%. Because your operating system doesn't know what to do with this file, you won't be able to open it by double-clicking.
Tip: Another FLA-related program can be selected to open the file by clicking "Show Apps" and finding the application.
Incorrect Adobe Animate CC 2017 Version
Sometimes your installed version of Adobe Animate CC 2017 won't support your Adobe Animate Animation file. If you've got the wrong version of Adobe Animate CC 2017 installed, you'll need to install the correct version. This issue mainly occurs when your Adobe Animate Animation file was created by a newer version of Adobe Animate CC 2017 than you have on your PC.
Tip: If you right-click on your FLA file, then select "Properties" (Windows) or "Get Info" (Mac), you can obtain hints about what version you need.
Regardless, most of the FLA file opening problems relate to not having the right version of Adobe Animate CC 2017 installed.
