Common Problems Opening INCD Files

Adobe InDesign is Not Installed

You attempt to load your INCD file and get an error such as "%%os%% Can't Open The INCD File Extension". When this happens, it is commonly due to Adobe InDesign missing in %%os%%. Your operating system cannot associate your INCD with Adobe InDesign, so double-clicking the file won't work.

Tip: If you have another software that you know opens INCD files, you can select it by hitting the "Show Apps" button.

Adobe InDesign Requires Update

It is possible that your version of Adobe InDesign isn't able to open your InCopy Document file due to incompatibility. Installing the latest version of Adobe InDesign from Adobe Systems Incorporated is recommended. This problem is predominately due to having a InCopy Document file version that was created by a newer version of Adobe InDesign than what you have installed on your PC.
