Issues Opening INCT Files

Adobe InCopy Isn't There

If you attempt to load your INCT file, you experience a message such as "Can't Open INCT Files". Generally, this is experienced in %%os%% because Adobe InCopy isn't installed on your PC. You won't be able to double-click to open your INCT because your OS doesn't know what to do with it.

Tip: Another INCT-related program can be selected to open the file by clicking "Show Apps" and finding the application.

Incorrect Adobe InCopy Version

In some cases, you might have a newer (or older) version of a InCopy Template file that is unsupported by your installed application version. Download the latest Adobe InCopy version from the Adobe Systems Incorporated website to ensure you have the correct one installed. Most of the time your InCopy Template file was created by a newer Adobe InCopy than what you have installed.

Tip: Find clues on the correct software version by right-clicking your INCT file and clicking "Properties".

Summary: In either case, the majority of problems opening INCT files are related to not having the correct software application installed on your computer.

Additional INCT Opening Issues
