Common JDT Opening Problems
Accelio Capture Classic Filler is Not Installed
You encounter an error message such as "%%os%% Can't Open JDT Files" when trying to open your JDT. Usually, this is because you do not have Accelio Capture Classic Filler for %%os%% installed. Your operating system cannot associate your JDT with Accelio Capture Classic Filler, so double-clicking the file won't work.
Tip: Another JDT-related program can be selected to open the file by clicking "Show Apps" and finding the application.
Outdated Accelio Capture Classic Filler
Your Accelio Capture Classic Filler Data file is incompatible with Accelio Capture Classic Filler because you might have the wrong version installed. If you do not have the proper version Accelio Capture Classic Filler (or any of the other programs listed above), you may need to try downloading a different version of it, or one of the other software applications listed above. Your Accelio Capture Classic Filler Data file was probably created by a newer release of Accelio Capture Classic Filler than what's currently installed your computer.
Tip: Find clues on the correct software version by right-clicking your JDT file and clicking "Properties".
Summary: In either case, the majority of problems opening JDT files are related to not having the correct software application installed on your computer.
Additional JDT Opening Issues
Even with the correct version of Accelio Capture Classic Filler installed, you can still experience difficulties opening JDTs. If you're still experiencing problems opening JDT files, there could be other computer problems. Issues that aren't software-related:
- JDT file references in the Windows Registry are broken
- The JDT file description within the Windows Registry was removed
- Invalid installation of a JDT-associated program (eg. Accelio Capture Classic Filler)
- Your JDT can't be loaded properly (file corruption)
- Your JDT is infected with malware
- Device drivers of the hardware associated with your JDT file are corrupt or out-of-date
- Windows cannot load your Accelio Capture Classic Filler Data file due to insufficient resources (eg. RAM)
