Typical SES Opening Challenges

Adobe Audition Not Present

If you attempt to load your SES file, you experience a message such as "Can't Open SES Files". Generally, this is experienced in %%os%% because Adobe Audition isn't installed on your PC. This will prevent you from double-clicking to open the SES file because the OS doesn’t know how to handle it.

Tip: If you don't have Adobe Audition installed, and you know of another program to open your SES file, you can try opening it by selecting from the programs listed under "Show Apps".

Adobe Audition is Out-of-Date

In other instances, your Audition Session File file version may not be supported by your version of Adobe Audition. You will need to download a newer version of Adobe Audition if you don't have the right version. Your Audition Session File file was probably created by a newer release of Adobe Audition than what's currently installed your computer.

Tip: If you right-click on your SES file, then select "Properties" (Windows) or "Get Info" (Mac), you can obtain hints about what version you need.
