Troubles Opening VPR Files
Adobe Premiere Pro CC Isn't There
When you double-click your VPR file, you may see a dialog box from your operating system stating that it "Cannot Open This File Type". If this is the case, it's usually due to the fact that you do not have Adobe Premiere Pro CC for %%os%% installed on your computer. You won't be able to double-click to open your VPR because your OS doesn't know what to do with it.
Tip: If you don't have Adobe Premiere Pro CC installed, and you know of another program to open your VPR file, you can try opening it by selecting from the programs listed under "Show Apps".
Incorrect Adobe Premiere Pro CC Version
It is possible that your version of Adobe Premiere Pro CC isn't able to open your Adobe Premiere Preset file due to incompatibility. Visit the Adobe Systems Incorporated website to download (or purchase) the latest version of Adobe Premiere Pro CC. The primary cause of this problem is that your Adobe Premiere Preset file was created by a different (newer) version of Adobe Premiere Pro CC than what's installed.
Tip: Investigate your VPR file by right-clicking and selecting "Properties" to find clues on what version you need.
Summary: Not having the right Adobe Premiere Pro CC version on your computer can cause problems opening VPR files.
Other VPR File Opening Causes
Assuming you have the right Adobe Premiere Pro CC version installed, other problems can prevent you from opening VPR files. There can be other issues - unrelated to software - preventing you from opening VPR files. Problems unrelated to software:
