Understanding NLC Issues
Common Problems Opening NLC Files
Nero Linux Disappeared
If you attempt to load your NLC file, you experience a message such as "Can't Open NLC Files". If so, it typically means that you don't have Nero Linux installed for %%os%%. This will prevent you from double-clicking to open the NLC file because the OS doesn’t know how to handle it.
Tip: When another NLC application is installed, you can choose to open it by selecting "Show Apps" and using that program.
Wrong Version of Nero Linux is Installed
In some cases, you might have a newer (or older) version of a Nero Linux Compilation File file that is unsupported by your installed application version. Download the latest Nero Linux version from the Nero AG website to ensure you have the correct one installed. This problem is predominately due to having a Nero Linux Compilation File file version that was created by a newer version of Nero Linux than what you have installed on your PC.
Tip: If you right-click on your NLC file, then select "Properties" (Windows) or "Get Info" (Mac), you can obtain hints about what version you need.
Conclusion: The majority of NLC file opening issues are due to not having the correct Nero Linux version installed.
