NND Troubleshooting
Troubles Opening NND Files
CYMFLOW is Not Installed
If you attempt to load your NND file, you experience a message such as "Can't Open NND Files". If so, it typically means that you don't have CYMFLOW installed for %%os%%. The typical path of opening your NND with a double-click won't work because %%os%% cannot make the program connection.
Tip: If you don't have CYMFLOW installed, and you know of another program to open your NND file, you can try opening it by selecting from the programs listed under "Show Apps".
CYMFLOW is Out-of-Date
Occasionally, you might have an outdated version of CYMFLOW installed that's incompatible with your CYMFLOW Network Data type. If you do not have the proper version CYMFLOW (or any of the other programs listed above), you may need to try downloading a different version of it, or one of the other software applications listed above. Your CYMFLOW Network Data file was probably created by a newer release of CYMFLOW than what's currently installed your computer.
Tip: Investigate your NND file by right-clicking and selecting "Properties" to find clues on what version you need.
Primarily, problems experienced when opening NND files are due to having the incorrect version of CYMFLOW installed on your computer.
More Causes of Problems Opening NNDs
Errors opening CYMFLOW Network Data files can still occur even with the latest CYMFLOW software installed on your computer. Other NND opening errors can be created by other system problems inside of %%os%%. These other problems include (listed in order from most to least common):
- File references in the Windows Registry for NND are wrong
- The NND file description within the Windows Registry was removed
- Invalid installation of a NND-associated program (eg. CYMFLOW)
- Something has caused file corruption of your NND
- The NND is infected with a virus
- Device drivers of the hardware associated with your NND file are corrupt or out-of-date
- Windows has inadequate resources to open your CYMFLOW Network Data file
