Common RPSS Opening Problems
Unknown Software Removed
If you attempt to load your RPSS file, you experience a message such as "Can't Open RPSS Files". If so, it typically means that you don't have Unknown Software installed for - . The typical path of opening your RPSS with a double-click won't work because - cannot make the program connection.
Tip: When another RPSS application is installed, you can choose to open it by selecting "Show Apps" and using that program.
Incorrect Unknown Software Version
In some cases, you might have a newer (or older) version of a Uncommon File Extension file that is unsupported by your installed application version. Installing the latest version of Unknown Software from Unknown Developer is recommended. The primary cause of this problem is that your Uncommon File Extension file was created by a different (newer) version of Unknown Software than what's installed.
Tip: Investigate your RPSS file by right-clicking and selecting "Properties" to find clues on what version you need.
Regardless, most of the RPSS file opening problems relate to not having the right version of Unknown Software installed.
Additional RPSS Opening Issues
You can still experience errors opening RPSS files even with the latest version of Unknown Software installed on your PC. There can be external issues inside of - that are causing these errors when opening RPSSs. These other problems include (listed in order from most to least common):
- RPSS file references in the Windows Registry are broken
- Accidental deletion of the description of the RPSS file in the Windows registry
- Partial installation of Unknown Software that did not fully complete
- Something has caused file corruption of your RPSS
- Malware-tainted RPSS file can't be opened
- Drivers associated with RPSS software need to be updated
- Too many applications are open on your PC to load your Uncommon File Extension file successfully
