QXL File Complications

Issues Opening QXL Files

QuarkXPress Isn't There

If you attempt to load your QXL file, you experience a message such as "Can't Open QXL Files". Generally, this is experienced in - because QuarkXPress isn't installed on your PC. Because your operating system doesn't know what to do with this file, you won't be able to open it by double-clicking.

Tip: If you know of another program that can open your QXL file, you can try opening it by selecting the application from the programs listed.

Outdated QuarkXPress

Your QuarkXPress Library file is incompatible with QuarkXPress because you might have the wrong version installed. If you do not have the proper version QuarkXPress (or any of the other programs listed above), you may need to try downloading a different version of it, or one of the other software applications listed above. This problem is predominately due to having a QuarkXPress Library file version that was created by a newer version of QuarkXPress than what you have installed on your PC.

Tip: Right-clicking on your QXL, then clicking "Properties" (Windows) or "Get Info" (Mac), can provide clues about your file version.
