Sources of IFM Problems
Common IFM Opening Problems
Shana Informed Filler Removed
When trying to open your IFM file, you get the error "Can't Open IFM File Type". Generally, this is experienced in %%os%% because Shana Informed Filler isn't installed on your PC. Your operating system cannot associate your IFM with Shana Informed Filler, so double-clicking the file won't work.
Tip: When another IFM application is installed, you can choose to open it by selecting "Show Apps" and using that program.
Outdated Shana Informed Filler
Occasionally, you might have an outdated version of Shana Informed Filler installed that's incompatible with your Informed Form Data Document type. If you do not have the proper version Shana Informed Filler (or any of the other programs listed above), you may need to try downloading a different version of it, or one of the other software applications listed above. This problem is most common when you have an older version of the software application, and your file was created by a newer version that it cannot recognize.
Tip: Sometimes you can get a clue about the version of IFM file you have by right clicking on the file, then clicking on "Properties" (Windows) or "Get Info" (Mac OSX).
Conclusion: The majority of IFM file opening issues are due to not having the correct Shana Informed Filler version installed.
