Typical IIF Opening Challenges

Microsoft Excel Isn't There

You encounter an error message such as "%%os%% Can't Open IIF Files" when trying to open your IIF. Customarily, this means that Microsoft Excel is not installed on %%os%%. The typical path of opening your IIF with a double-click won't work because %%os%% cannot make the program connection.

Tip: If you don't have Microsoft Excel installed, and you know of another program to open your IIF file, you can try opening it by selecting from the programs listed under "Show Apps".

Outdated Microsoft Excel

Sometimes your installed version of Microsoft Excel won't support your Intuit Interchange Format File file. If you do not have the proper version Microsoft Excel (or any of the other programs listed above), you may need to try downloading a different version of it, or one of the other software applications listed above.
