Common Problems Opening ZIR Files
(C.a.R) Compass and Ruler Not Present
If you attempt to load your ZIR file, you experience a message such as "Can't Open ZIR Files". Customarily, this means that (C.a.R) Compass and Ruler is not installed on %%os%%. The typical path of opening your ZIR with a double-click won't work because %%os%% cannot make the program connection.
Tip: When another ZIR application is installed, you can choose to open it by selecting "Show Apps" and using that program.
Outdated (C.a.R) Compass and Ruler
It is possible that your version of (C.a.R) Compass and Ruler isn't able to open your Compass And Ruler Figure File file due to incompatibility. If you do not have the proper version (C.a.R) Compass and Ruler (or any of the other programs listed above), you may need to try downloading a different version of it, or one of the other software applications listed above. This problem is predominately due to having a Compass And Ruler Figure File file version that was created by a newer version of (C.a.R) Compass and Ruler than what you have installed on your PC.
Tip: You can sometimes get hints about the right program version by right-clicking on the ZIR file, selecting "Properties", and looking at the version information.
Primarily, problems experienced when opening ZIR files are due to having the incorrect version of (C.a.R) Compass and Ruler installed on your computer.
Additional ZIR Opening Issues
