Sources of FRAME Problems
Common FRAME Opening Problems
Adobe FrameMaker Isn't There
You attempt to load your FRAME file and get an error such as "%%os%% Can't Open The FRAME File Extension". Generally, this is experienced in %%os%% because Adobe FrameMaker isn't installed on your PC. The typical path of opening your FRAME with a double-click won't work because %%os%% cannot make the program connection.
Tip: When you have another program installed that you know will open your FRAME, you can select it from the other programs listed (see "Show Apps").
Incorrect Adobe FrameMaker Version
Your Adobe FrameMaker Interchange Format file is incompatible with Adobe FrameMaker because you might have the wrong version installed. If you do not have the proper version Adobe FrameMaker (or any of the other programs listed above), you may need to try downloading a different version of it, or one of the other software applications listed above. The primary cause of this problem is that your Adobe FrameMaker Interchange Format file was created by a different (newer) version of Adobe FrameMaker than what's installed.
Tip: Find clues on the correct software version by right-clicking your FRAME file and clicking "Properties".
Summary: In either case, the majority of problems opening FRAME files are related to not having the correct software application installed on your computer.
