SND File Complications
Issues Opening SND Files
Microsoft Windows Media Player Not Present
You encounter an error message such as "%%os%% Can't Open SND Files" when trying to open your SND. Generally, this is experienced in %%os%% because Microsoft Windows Media Player isn't installed on your PC. You won't be able to double-click to open your SND because your OS doesn't know what to do with it.
Tip: If you know of another program that can open your SND file, you can try opening it by selecting the application from the programs listed.
Outdated Microsoft Windows Media Player
Occasionally, you might have an outdated version of Microsoft Windows Media Player installed that's incompatible with your Sound File type. If you've got the wrong version of Microsoft Windows Media Player installed, you'll need to install the correct version. This issue mainly occurs when your Sound File file was created by a newer version of Microsoft Windows Media Player than you have on your PC.
Tip: Find clues on the correct software version by right-clicking your SND file and clicking "Properties".
Summary: In either case, the majority of problems opening SND files are related to not having the correct software application installed on your computer.
