MSH Troubleshooting

Troubles Opening MSH Files

Orbiter Disappeared

Double-clicking your MSH file prompts the message "%%os%% Can't Open MSH File". When this happens, it is commonly due to Orbiter missing in %%os%%. The OS won't know what to do with your MSH file, so double-clicking to load the file doesn't work.

Tip: When another MSH application is installed, you can choose to open it by selecting "Show Apps" and using that program.

Obsolete Version of Orbiter

It is possible that your version of Orbiter isn't able to open your Orbiter 3D Mesh File file due to incompatibility. You will need to download a newer version of Orbiter if you don't have the right version. Your Orbiter 3D Mesh File file was probably created by a newer release of Orbiter than what's currently installed your computer.
