Common Problems Opening MPG Files
Missing CyberLink PowerDVD
When trying to open your MPG file, you get the error "Can't Open MPG File Type". Usually, this is because you do not have CyberLink PowerDVD for - installed. Because your operating system doesn't know what to do with this file, you won't be able to open it by double-clicking.
Tip: Another MPG-related program can be selected to open the file by clicking "Show Apps" and finding the application.
Obsolete Version of CyberLink PowerDVD
It is possible that your version of CyberLink PowerDVD isn't able to open your MPEG Video File file due to incompatibility. Installing the latest version of CyberLink PowerDVD from CyberLink is recommended. This problem is predominately due to having a MPEG Video File file version that was created by a newer version of CyberLink PowerDVD than what you have installed on your PC.
Tip: Right-clicking on your MPG, then clicking "Properties" (Windows) or "Get Info" (Mac), can provide clues about your file version.

- Windows cannot load your MPEG Video File file due to insufficient resources (eg. RAM)
