Common TK Opening Problems

TeKton3D Isn't There

You encounter an error message such as "%%os%% Can't Open TK Files" when trying to open your TK. Customarily, this means that TeKton3D is not installed on %%os%%. This will prevent you from double-clicking to open the TK file because the OS doesn’t know how to handle it.

Tip: Another TK-related program can be selected to open the file by clicking "Show Apps" and finding the application.

TeKton3D Requires Update

Sometimes your installed version of TeKton3D won't support your TeKton3D Project file. You will need to download a newer version of TeKton3D if you don't have the right version. Your TeKton3D Project file was probably created by a newer release of TeKton3D than what's currently installed your computer.

Tip: Find clues on the correct software version by right-clicking your TK file and clicking "Properties".

Regardless, most of the TK file opening problems relate to not having the right version of TeKton3D installed.
