Common Y04 Opening Problems

Corel WordPerfect X8 Disappeared

You attempt to load your Y04 file and get an error such as "%%os%% Can't Open The Y04 File Extension". Usually, this is because you do not have Corel WordPerfect X8 for %%os%% installed. Your operating system cannot associate your Y04 with Corel WordPerfect X8, so double-clicking the file won't work.

Tip: When you have another program installed that you know will open your Y04, you can select it from the other programs listed (see "Show Apps").

Corel WordPerfect X8 is Out-of-Date

Sometimes your installed version of Corel WordPerfect X8 won't support your Corel Paradox Secondary Index file. If you do not have the proper version Corel WordPerfect X8 (or any of the other programs listed above), you may need to try downloading a different version of it, or one of the other software applications listed above. This problem is predominately due to having a Corel Paradox Secondary Index file version that was created by a newer version of Corel WordPerfect X8 than what you have installed on your PC.
