Sources of TRB Problems
Frequent TRB Opening Issues
Missing Animation:Master
When you double-click your TRB file, you may see a dialog box from your operating system stating that it "Cannot Open This File Type". When this happens, it is commonly due to Animation:Master missing in %%os%%. This will prevent you from double-clicking to open the TRB file because the OS doesn’t know how to handle it.
Tip: When another TRB application is installed, you can choose to open it by selecting "Show Apps" and using that program.
Obsolete Version of Animation:Master
Your Animation Master Turbulence Plug-in file is incompatible with Animation:Master because you might have the wrong version installed. If you've got the wrong version of Animation:Master installed, you'll need to install the correct version. Most of the time your Animation Master Turbulence Plug-in file was created by a newer Animation:Master than what you have installed.
Tip: You can sometimes get hints about the right program version by right-clicking on the TRB file, selecting "Properties", and looking at the version information.
Summary: Not having the right Animation:Master version on your computer can cause problems opening TRB files.
Other TRB File Opening Causes
You can still experience errors opening TRB files even with the latest version of Animation:Master installed on your PC. If you are still having problems opening TRB files, there may be other issues that are preventing you from opening these files. Other contributing causes:
- Windows Registry TRB file paths that are incorrect
- Corruption of the TRB file description inside the Registry
- Incomplete or bad installation of a software application associated with the TRB format
- The TRB itself is corrupted
- Your TRB is infected with malware
- Hardware associated with TRB has outdated drivers
- Windows has inadequate resources to open your Animation Master Turbulence Plug-in file
