Understanding BPR Issues
Common Problems Opening BPR Files
C++Builder is Not Installed
Double-clicking your BPR file prompts the message "%%os%% Can't Open BPR File". Customarily, this means that C++Builder is not installed on %%os%%. Because your operating system doesn't know what to do with this file, you won't be able to open it by double-clicking.
Tip: When you have another program installed that you know will open your BPR, you can select it from the other programs listed (see "Show Apps").
Obsolete Version of C++Builder
It is possible that your version of C++Builder isn't able to open your Borland C++Builder Project File file due to incompatibility. If you do not have the proper version C++Builder (or any of the other programs listed above), you may need to try downloading a different version of it, or one of the other software applications listed above. This problem is predominately due to having a Borland C++Builder Project File file version that was created by a newer version of C++Builder than what you have installed on your PC.
Tip: You can sometimes get hints about the right program version by right-clicking on the BPR file, selecting "Properties", and looking at the version information.
Summary: Not having the right C++Builder version on your computer can cause problems opening BPR files.
