TP File Complications
Common TP Opening Problems
CyberLink PowerDVD Disappeared
When you double-click your TP file, you may see a dialog box from your operating system stating that it "Cannot Open This File Type". Customarily, this means that CyberLink PowerDVD is not installed on %%os%%. The typical path of opening your TP with a double-click won't work because %%os%% cannot make the program connection.
Tip: Another TP-related program can be selected to open the file by clicking "Show Apps" and finding the application.
Wrong Version of CyberLink PowerDVD is Installed
Sometimes your installed version of CyberLink PowerDVD won't support your Beyond TV Transport Stream File file. You will need to download a newer version of CyberLink PowerDVD if you don't have the right version. This problem is most common when you have an older version of the software application, and your file was created by a newer version that it cannot recognize.
Tip: Investigate your TP file by right-clicking and selecting "Properties" to find clues on what version you need.
Summary: Not having the right CyberLink PowerDVD version on your computer can cause problems opening TP files.
Associated Difficulties Loading TP Files
You can still experience errors opening TP files even with the latest version of CyberLink PowerDVD installed on your PC. If you are continuing to have errors with loading TP files, other external issues might be to blame. Additional factors include:
- Corrupt Windows Registry file path references for TP
- Mistaken removal of the Windows registry TP description
- Corrupt install of CyberLink PowerDVD or other TP-related program
- The TP itself is corrupted
- Your TP is infected with malware
- Device drivers of the hardware associated with your TP file are corrupt or out-of-date
- Too many applications are open on your PC to load your Beyond TV Transport Stream File file successfully
