AR File Complications
Common AR Opening Problems
Missing 7-Zip
When you double-click your AR file, you may see a dialog box from your operating system stating that it "Cannot Open This File Type". Usually, this is because you do not have 7-Zip for %%os%% installed. The typical path of opening your AR with a double-click won't work because %%os%% cannot make the program connection.
Tip: If you don't have 7-Zip installed, and you know of another program to open your AR file, you can try opening it by selecting from the programs listed under "Show Apps".
Wrong Version of 7-Zip is Installed

If you've got the wrong version of 7-Zip installed, you'll need to install the correct version. Tip: If you right-click on your AR file, then select "Properties" (Windows) or "Get Info" (Mac), you can obtain hints about what version you need.
Regardless, most of the AR file opening problems relate to not having the right version of 7-Zip installed.
