Understanding CT1 Issues
Frequent CT1 Opening Issues
Microsoft Systems Management Server Removed
Double-clicking your CT1 file prompts the message "%%os%% Can't Open CT1 File". If this is the case, it's usually due to the fact that you do not have Microsoft Systems Management Server for %%os%% installed on your computer. The typical path of opening your CT1 with a double-click won't work because %%os%% cannot make the program connection.
Tip: When you have another program installed that you know will open your CT1, you can select it from the other programs listed (see "Show Apps").
Outdated Microsoft Systems Management Server
Your Microsoft Systems Management Server Proposed Site Control Data file is incompatible with Microsoft Systems Management Server because you might have the wrong version installed. Tip: Find clues on the correct software version by right-clicking your CT1 file and clicking "Properties".
Ultimately, most of the difficulties opening CT1 files are due to having the wrong version of Microsoft Systems Management Server installed.
