Sources of DTH Problems
Typical DTH Opening Challenges
Microsoft Windows Disappeared
You encounter an error message such as "%%os%% Can't Open DTH Files" when trying to open your DTH. Usually, this is because you do not have Microsoft Windows for %%os%% installed. The OS won't know what to do with your DTH file, so double-clicking to load the file doesn't work.
Tip: If you know of another program that can open your DTH file, you can try opening it by selecting the application from the programs listed.
Microsoft Windows is Out-of-Date
It is possible that your version of Microsoft Windows isn't able to open your Microsoft Windows Application Log File file due to incompatibility. If you do not have the proper version Microsoft Windows (or any of the other programs listed above), you may need to try downloading a different version of it, or one of the other software applications listed above. This issue mainly occurs when your Microsoft Windows Application Log File file was created by a newer version of Microsoft Windows than you have on your PC.
Tip: Sometimes you can get a clue about the version of DTH file you have by right clicking on the file, then clicking on "Properties" (Windows) or "Get Info" (Mac OSX).
Conclusion: The majority of DTH file opening issues are due to not having the correct Microsoft Windows version installed.

You can still experience errors opening DTH files even with the latest version of Microsoft Windows installed on your PC.
