Troubleshooting Problems Opening ECT Files
Typical ECT Opening Challenges
Yozosoft Yozo Office Removed
You attempt to load your ECT file and get an error such as "%%os%% Can't Open The ECT File Extension". If so, it typically means that you don't have Yozosoft Yozo Office installed for %%os%%. The OS won't know what to do with your ECT file, so double-clicking to load the file doesn't work.
Tip: When you have another program installed that you know will open your ECT, you can select it from the other programs listed (see "Show Apps").
Yozosoft Yozo Office is Out-of-Date
In other instances, your Yozo Office Chart Template File file version may not be supported by your version of Yozosoft Yozo Office. You will need to download a newer version of Yozosoft Yozo Office if you don't have the right version. This problem is most common when you have an older version of the software application, and your file was created by a newer version that it cannot recognize.
Tip: Right-clicking on your ECT, then clicking "Properties" (Windows) or "Get Info" (Mac), can provide clues about your file version.
Primarily, problems experienced when opening ECT files are due to having the incorrect version of Yozosoft Yozo Office installed on your computer.
Associated Difficulties Loading ECT Files
Assuming you have the right Yozosoft Yozo Office version installed, other problems can prevent you from opening ECT files. If you are continuing to have errors with loading ECT files, other external issues might be to blame. Problems unrelated to software:
- ECT file type Registry entries are wrong
- Corruption of the ECT file description inside the Registry
- Defective install of a ECT program, such as Yozosoft Yozo Office
- Something has caused file corruption of your ECT
- Your ECT has adversely impacted by malware
- Hardware associated with ECT has outdated drivers
- Your computer does not have the adequate system resources to open the Yozo Office Chart Template File format
