Sources of EVO Problems

Troubles Opening EVO Files

Missing SeeVogh Player

When trying to open your EVO file, you get the error "Can't Open EVO File Type". Customarily, this means that SeeVogh Player is not installed on %%os%%. Your operating system cannot associate your EVO with SeeVogh Player, so double-clicking the file won't work.

Tip: If you don't have SeeVogh Player installed, and you know of another program to open your EVO file, you can try opening it by selecting from the programs listed under "Show Apps".

Incorrect SeeVogh Player Version

It is possible that your version of SeeVogh Player isn't able to open your SeeVogh Player Video Recording file due to incompatibility. Download the latest SeeVogh Player version from the eZuce SRN website to ensure you have the correct one installed. This problem is predominately due to having a SeeVogh Player Video Recording file version that was created by a newer version of SeeVogh Player than what you have installed on your PC.

Tip: If you right-click on your EVO file, then select "Properties" (Windows) or "Get Info" (Mac), you can obtain hints about what version you need.

Regardless, most of the EVO file opening problems relate to not having the right version of SeeVogh Player installed.

Other EVO File Opening Causes

Errors opening SeeVogh Player Video Recording files can still occur even with the latest SeeVogh Player software installed on your computer. There can be other issues - unrelated to software - preventing you from opening EVO files. Additional factors include:

  • File references in the Windows Registry for EVO are wrong
  • Deletion of the EVO file description from the Registry by mistake
  • Defective install of a EVO program, such as SeeVogh Player
  • File corruption affecting your EVO file
  • The EVO is infected with a virus
  • EVO-related hardware has device drivers that obsolete
  • Your computer does not have the adequate system resources to open the SeeVogh Player Video Recording format
