Understanding F12 Issues
Issues Opening F12 Files
MS-DOS Not Present
You attempt to load your F12 file and get an error such as "%%os%% Can't Open The F12 File Extension". Generally, this is experienced in %%os%% because MS-DOS isn't installed on your PC. The OS won't know what to do with your F12 file, so double-clicking to load the file doesn't work.
Tip: If you know of another program that can open your F12 file, you can try opening it by selecting the application from the programs listed.
MS-DOS is Out-of-Date
In some cases, you might have a newer (or older) version of a DOS Screen Text 12 Pixel Height Font File file that is unsupported by your installed application version. If you do not have the proper version MS-DOS (or any of the other programs listed above), you may need to try downloading a different version of it, or one of the other software applications listed above. This problem is predominately due to having a DOS Screen Text 12 Pixel Height Font File file version that was created by a newer version of MS-DOS than what you have installed on your PC.
Tip: Find clues on the correct software version by right-clicking your F12 file and clicking "Properties".
