Common FLP Opening Problems

LMMS Removed

You attempt to load your FLP file and get an error such as "%%os%% Can't Open The FLP File Extension". If so, it typically means that you don't have LMMS installed for %%os%%. The OS won't know what to do with your FLP file, so double-clicking to load the file doesn't work.

Tip: If you have another software that you know opens FLP files, you can select it by hitting the "Show Apps" button.

Outdated LMMS

In some cases, you might have a newer (or older) version of a FL Studio Project File file that is unsupported by your installed application version. Download the latest LMMS version from the Open Source website to ensure you have the correct one installed. Most of the time your FL Studio Project File file was created by a newer LMMS than what you have installed.
