FX File Summary
Most FX files can be viewed with four known software applications, typically Microsoft Visual Studio developed by Microsoft Corporation. It's main file type association is the Direct3D Effects File format, but also includes three other rarely-seen file types. The majority of FX files are considered 3D Image Files, but they can also be System Files or Text Files.
Both desktop and mobile devices enable you to view and (sometimes) edit these files, depending on the software used. The main FX file type has a Popularity Rating of "Low", meaning these files are not frequently present on your typical desktop or mobile device.
