GWP File Complications
Issues Opening GWP Files
Microsoft Greetings Workshop Isn't There
If you attempt to load your GWP file, you experience a message such as "Can't Open GWP Files". Generally, this is experienced in %%os%% because Microsoft Greetings Workshop isn't installed on your PC. Your operating system cannot associate your GWP with Microsoft Greetings Workshop, so double-clicking the file won't work.
Tip: When you have another program installed that you know will open your GWP, you can select it from the other programs listed (see "Show Apps").
Obsolete Version of Microsoft Greetings Workshop
It is possible that your version of Microsoft Greetings Workshop isn't able to open your Greetings Workshop Project File file due to incompatibility. Download the latest Microsoft Greetings Workshop version from the Microsoft Corporation website to ensure you have the correct one installed. This problem is most common when you have an older version of the software application, and your file was created by a newer version that it cannot recognize.
Tip: Investigate your GWP file by right-clicking and selecting "Properties" to find clues on what version you need.
Primarily, problems experienced when opening GWP files are due to having the incorrect version of Microsoft Greetings Workshop installed on your computer.
Additional GWP Opening Issues
Assuming you have the right Microsoft Greetings Workshop version installed, other problems can prevent you from opening GWP files.
