Troubles Opening IMESX Files
Microsoft Office Removed
Double-clicking your IMESX file prompts the message "%%os%% Can't Open IMESX File". Customarily, this means that Microsoft Office is not installed on %%os%%. The typical path of opening your IMESX with a double-click won't work because %%os%% cannot make the program connection.
Tip: If you don't have Microsoft Office installed, and you know of another program to open your IMESX file, you can try opening it by selecting from the programs listed under "Show Apps".
Incorrect Microsoft Office Version
It is possible that your version of Microsoft Office isn't able to open your Microsoft Office IME Search Provider Definition File file due to incompatibility. If you've got the wrong version of Microsoft Office installed, you'll need to install the correct version. This problem is most common when you have an older version of the software application, and your file was created by a newer version that it cannot recognize.
Tip: Sometimes you can get a clue about the version of IMESX file you have by right clicking on the file, then clicking on "Properties" (Windows) or "Get Info" (Mac OSX).
