Understanding IVN Issues
Typical IVN Opening Challenges
Missing iView Media Pro
You attempt to load your IVN file and get an error such as "%%os%% Can't Open The IVN File Extension". If this is the case, it's usually due to the fact that you do not have iView Media Pro for %%os%% installed on your computer. This will prevent you from double-clicking to open the IVN file because the OS doesn’t know how to handle it.
Tip: If you know of another program that can open your IVN file, you can try opening it by selecting the application from the programs listed.
Wrong Version of iView Media Pro is Installed
Your iView MediaPro Catalogue File file is incompatible with iView Media Pro because you might have the wrong version installed. Installing the latest version of iView Media Pro from iView Multimedia is recommended. The primary cause of this problem is that your iView MediaPro Catalogue File file was created by a different (newer) version of iView Media Pro than what's installed.
Tip: Investigate your IVN file by right-clicking and selecting "Properties" to find clues on what version you need.
Ultimately, most of the difficulties opening IVN files are due to having the wrong version of iView Media Pro installed.
Other Causes of IVN File Opening Problems
Although you might already have iView Media Pro or another IVN-associated software installed on your computer, you can still encounter problems opening iView MediaPro Catalogue File files.
