Sources of MAZ Problems
Troubles Opening MAZ Files
Hover! Removed
You attempt to load your MAZ file and get an error such as "%%os%% Can't Open The MAZ File Extension". Generally, this is experienced in %%os%% because Hover! isn't installed on your PC. The OS won't know what to do with your MAZ file, so double-clicking to load the file doesn't work.
Tip: If you know of another program that can open your MAZ file, you can try opening it by selecting the application from the programs listed.
Outdated Hover!
Your MAZ file is incompatible with Hover! because you might have the wrong version installed. If you've got the wrong version of Hover! installed, you'll need to install the correct version. The primary cause of this problem is that your MAZ file was created by a different (newer) version of Hover! than what's installed.
Tip: Find clues on the correct software version by right-clicking your MAZ file and clicking "Properties".
Conclusion: The majority of MAZ file opening issues are due to not having the correct Hover! version installed.
