Troubles Opening MNX Files

Autodesk AutoCAD Disappeared

When trying to open your MNX file, you get the error "Can't Open MNX File Type". Usually, this is because you do not have Autodesk AutoCAD for %%os%% installed. This will prevent you from double-clicking to open the MNX file because the OS doesn’t know how to handle it.

Tip: When another MNX application is installed, you can choose to open it by selecting "Show Apps" and using that program.

Wrong Version of Autodesk AutoCAD is Installed

It is possible that your version of Autodesk AutoCAD isn't able to open your AutoCAD Compiled Menu File file due to incompatibility. Installing the latest version of Autodesk AutoCAD from Autodesk, Inc. is recommended. This problem is most common when you have an older version of the software application, and your file was created by a newer version that it cannot recognize.

Tip: You can sometimes get hints about the right program version by right-clicking on the MNX file, selecting "Properties", and looking at the version information.
