MPX Troubleshooting
Typical MPX Opening Challenges
Microsoft Visual FoxPro Isn't There
If you attempt to load your MPX file, you experience a message such as "Can't Open MPX Files". If so, it typically means that you don't have Microsoft Visual FoxPro installed for %%os%%. Your operating system cannot associate your MPX with Microsoft Visual FoxPro, so double-clicking the file won't work.
Tip: When you have another program installed that you know will open your MPX, you can select it from the other programs listed (see "Show Apps").
Microsoft Visual FoxPro is Out-of-Date
It is possible that your version of Microsoft Visual FoxPro isn't able to open your FoxPro Compiled Menu Program file due to incompatibility. You will need to download a newer version of Microsoft Visual FoxPro if you don't have the right version. This problem is most common when you have an older version of the software application, and your file was created by a newer version that it cannot recognize.
Tip: Find clues on the correct software version by right-clicking your MPX file and clicking "Properties".
Conclusion: The majority of MPX file opening issues are due to not having the correct Microsoft Visual FoxPro version installed.
